So what?  Targeting a financial operator rather than a trafficker or gunman goes after the plumbing that moves Chapitos drug proceeds across the border, which typically forces a faster reshuffle of laundering channels than a product seizure does. Expect a short-term uptick in bulk-cash and trade-based money-laundering activity as the faction routes around the compromised network, not a lasting dent in its smuggling capacity.
