In the brief
No. 45 · Friday, 14 August 2026
India's federal anti-terror agency raids 13 sites tied to a record Myanmar-sourced methamphetamine seizure
So what? Raids this far downstream, nearly two years after the original interdiction, show Indian investigators are still unwinding the syndicate's financing and distribution network rather than treating the original seizure as closed. Expect further arrests or asset seizures tied to this case as the clearer signal the network's onward distribution channels, not just the smuggling route, are being dismantled.

No. 28 · Tuesday, 28 July 2026
India's NIA raids trafficking network that sold citizens into Myanmar cyber-scam slavery
So what? A trafficking pipeline built specifically to feed Myanmar's scam compounds, rather than general labor trafficking, means every raid India runs on the recruitment side is now directly relevant to the compounds' labor supply that regional and U.S. authorities are separately trying to choke off. Watch whether the fugitive Chinese national is named in an Interpol notice, since that would show India is pursuing this as a transnational case rather than a domestic recruitment bust.
